Defibrillatoren, kurz Defis, sind Geräte, die zu medizinisch-therapeutischen Zwecken Strom abgeben. Seit 2010 haben wir mehr als 250 Defis europaweit installiert.

Erwachsene, die einen Herz-Kreislaufstillstand erleiden, haben dabei oft initial ein Kammerflimmern als lebensbedrohliche Rhythmusstörung. Die beste Therapie dagegen ist ein früher med. Stromstoß. Da Laien meistens zuerst vor Ort sind, gibt es Geräte, die selbst entscheiden können, ob defibrilliert werden muss oder nicht. 

Diese AED (Automatische Externe Defibrillatoren) dürfen inzwischen durch jeden bedient werden, da das Gerät die Entscheidung zum Schocken trifft. Neben dieser Funktion leitet der AED Sie per Sprachansagen und ggf. Bildschirmanweisungen durch die Reanimation.

Defibrillators, or defis for short, are devices that deliver electricity for medical and therapeutic purposes. Since 2010, we have installed more than 250 defibrillators across Europe.

Adults who suffer a cardiac arrest often initially have ventricular fibrillation as a life-threatening arrhythmia. The best therapy against this is an early medical shock. As laypersons are usually the first to arrive on the scene, there are devices that can decide for themselves whether defibrillation is necessary or not. 

These AEDs (automatic external defibrillators) can now be operated by anyone, as the device makes the decision to shock. In addition to this function, the AED guides you through the resuscitation process using voice prompts and, if necessary, on-screen instructions.
